The Open Days on the 16th and 17th September were very successful. Both days were jam packed with activities and on the green activity. Our sponsors joined us on Saturday and club players started to come back indoors after their outdoor season as well as a range of people new to the sport giving it a try under the eyes of our coaches. An added bonus was the opportunity to see some of the younger players at their regular Saturday morning practice session. Sunday was standing room only with MacMillan Coffee morning, Potters bowls shop, ISIS league, exhibition match and again new bowlers trying it out. All topped off with a kitchen producing hot food and guest beer at the bar.

There were two demonstration matches to watch. On Saturday it was a two woods triples match which was neck and neck for the first 13 ends with a score of 13 - 13. However two quick scores led to a convincing win for Gary Taylor, Lewis Jones and Martin Wells as their opposition of Dave Westbrook, Richard Maine and Mo Saunders were unable to make up the gap. On Sunday Sandra Griffiths, Paul Knowles, Derek Banks and Alice Lovett won a good rinks game versus Martin Mason, Harry Grainger, Steve Devonish and Trevor Morgan.
