Our 2026 season formally opened on 18th April when Club President, Brian Parker, bowled the first wood of the season. This was followed up by a round robin match format involving more than 30 club players to get the season fully underway, played largely in pleasant sunshine with the occasional chilly gust of wind.

The winners on the day were the team comprising Iris Hook, Ricky Alvarez and skip Geoff Barnett and club captain Derek Parsons announced in the clubhouse that their prize was the knowledge that they were the first team to win a competition at Heavitree Bowling Club in 2026.
