Openreach - Temporary Road Closure - Chegworth Road, Harrietsham - 5th August 2026 (Maidstone District)

Due to works planned to be undertaken by Openreach, it will be necessary to close part of Chegworth Road, Harrietsham, from 5th August 2026 with estimated completion by 6th August 2026.

Chegworth Road, Harrietsham, will be closed from approximately 50 metres North of property named Little Chegworth for a distance approximately 100 metres in a Southerly direction. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chegworth Road, A20 Ashford Road, East Street, Sandway Road, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Chegworth Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce to allow telegraph pole replacement and associated cable rehanging works to be carried out, works are undertaken by Openreach.
