Overgrown Hedges - Driving Hazard
A reminder that some hedges in the village have dangerously overgrown the edge of the road and pose a visibility hazard to drivers around the village.
We are all asked to trim back our hedges so that they don’t pose a driving hazard.
Environmental laws discourage the cutting of hedges from May through to August, due to the danger of disturbing birds’ nest. However, garden (not field) hedges are allowed to be cut back provided the birds are not disturbed. Source of statement: the Devon Live website.
