The Parish Council is pleased to note the following comment from the internal auditor:

It is clear that considerable improvements have been made during the 2025–2026 audit period, leaving the Council in a much stronger position going forward to comply with the AGAR requirements and the recommendations contained within the JPAG Practitioners’ Guide 2025.

The Parish Council is also working with the external auditors, PKF Littlejohn, to submit redacted audit figures for the last 6 years, and will continue to work towards ensuring that the Parish Council can resolve all historical outstanding finance issues.

The Parish Council is committed to ensuring that all of its processes are transparent and follow good practice. All of the recommendations in the internal report, as well as any feedback received from the external auditor, will form part of the Parish Council's action plan for 2025-26.

Further updates will be reported to the Parish Council by the Finance Committee at the monthly full Parish Council meetings.
