Parish Council Meeting - June

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 3rd of June at 7pm at Thurgoland Church of England Primary School.

Agenda -

1. To accept apologies for absence and to receive Declarations of Interest in items on the agenda.
2. To confirm the minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday 13th May 2026.
3. To report matters arising from the minutes not on the agenda.
4. To adjourn the business of the Parish Council in order that members of the public can bring items to the
attention of the Parish Council.
5. To receive information regarding matters having financial implications for the Council
i. to consider donation to Crane Moor WMC for living Christmas tree and arrangements going forward
ii. to note payment to the Clerk for additional working hours in April
iii. to agree payments and income in accordance with the Parish Council budget as notified (draft Appendix A)
6. To receive current financial situation vs Parish Council Budget (Appendix B at the meeting).
7. To consider the following Planning Application:
APPLICATION NO: 2026/0347 Copster House, Rag Lane, Thurgoland, Sheffield, S35 7BA DESCRIPTION: Change
of use to utilise a proportion of an existing outbuilding (Use Class C3) as a wellbeing retreat and meeting space
(Use Class Ee and Ec2). Including minor alterations.
8. To consider planning applications received since this agenda was produced
9. To receive information on approved/declined/pending planning applications
10. To receive items to bring to the attention of Neighbourhood Services/Penistone Environmental Services
11. To consider request from Thurgoland Primary School regarding the out of school use/condition of the MUGA
12. To receive any comments/information relating to footpath and public rights of way issues
13. To receive items related to roads and transport
14. To receive consider any actions required re Crane Moor Recreation Ground
15. To receive an update regarding hanging baskets Summer 2026
16. To consider the planting of Churchfields planters
17. To receive an update with regards to Thurgoland Cricket club including rent
18. To consider proposals for additional Remembrance events/actions in November
19. To consider and agree actions required regarding dedication of parcel of land in Thurgoland
20. To agree winner of May’s calendar competition
21. To receive a verbal report from the Clerk on progress on outstanding items.
22. To receive any correspondence received and reports from external meetings
23. To agree upon any news items received to be posted for inclusion on website and noticeboards
24. To be notified of any matters to be placed on the agenda of the next meeting of the Parish Council
25. To confirm that the next Parish Council meeting will be held on Wednesday 1st July 2026 and will be held at
Thurgoland Primary School, Halifax Road, Thurgoland at 7.00pm.
