The Parish Council wishes to make it clear to all Parishioners that Sarah Rose's posting expresses the views of Smarden Forward and NOT those of Smarden Parish Council.

We will of course listen to proposals put to the meeting and the views of those Parishioner present. However, we also have to “listen” to the views expressed by those who took time to complete and return their questionnaires and the many letters and e-mails we have received over the last few months.

It is therefore not necessarily the case that “if any particular proposal is supported by the majority of those present at the meeting the Parish Council will in turn support the proposal.”.

This will be a Parish Meeting convened by the Parish Council and chaired by the Chairman of the Parish Council. The agenda will be agreed by the Parish Council and published according to our Standing Orders.
