Parish Residents Meeting with Avant Homes. UPDATE!

Avant Homes has now confirmed that they've submitted a planning application to North Yorkshire Council and are keen to visit the village to discuss proposals with residents.

The Parish Council has agreed to facilitate a meeting at the Village Hall on the 30th October starting at 7pm. Avant will be represented by Chris Megson, their Regional Planning Manager and their Technical Director, Jon Birkin. It's important to note however that this won't be a Parish Council meeting. The planning application should also be available for residents to see ahead of the meeting but is not yet live on our tracker.

This will be a good opportunity for residents to hear what Avant have to say and give their views on the proposed development so please attend if you have views. Any large planning application like this is bound to be an emotive subject but could we remind people that any meeting in the village should be conducted with mutual respect, we're sure people want to get their views across but equally, opposing views need to be heard as well.
