PARISHES WAR MEMORIAL

ST HELENS CHURCHYARD AMOTHERBY

The War Memorial that commemorates the fallen of two World Wars from our Parishes at St Helens Churchyard Amotherby is in need of restoration.

A survey by the War Memorial Trust carried our last year has recorded our War Memorial condition as “Poor”

Over the years the oak timbers that roof the Memorial have become worn and broken.

The main frame of the structure is cracked and unstable.

A group of volunteers from Amotherby are planning to carry out restoration work to the Memorial

We intend to apply for grant funding towards the restoration and hope to raise sufficient funds to complete the project by Remembrance Sunday 2026.

A plan of works will be available at St Helens Church Amotherby.
