Ightfield Parish Council would like to bring to your attention a matter that has been raised regarding parking at Wilson Meadow and Corra Place.

We have received several reports of vehicles being parked directly in front of properties, despite suitable parking spaces being available either to the rear of homes or on private driveways to the side. While we appreciate that parking can sometimes be a challenge, this particular pattern of parking is creating safety concerns for both residents and road users.

Parking along the front of properties is obstructing the visibility of drivers exiting Wilson Meadow, making it difficult to see oncoming traffic. A similar issue has been noted near Corra Place. In addition, obstructive parking of vehicles is causing problems for larger vehicles—such as agricultural machinery and tractors—which are struggling to pass safely.

The Council kindly asks all residents to make full use of their designated parking spaces and driveways wherever possible. Doing so will help maintain clear sight lines, reduce congestion, and ensure that emergency and agricultural vehicles can move through the area without difficulty.

We are grateful for your cooperation in keeping our community safe and accessible for everyone.
