PDBA CENTENARY DINNER
The Portsmouth and District BA celebrated its centenary with a gala dinner, attended by over160 guests, in the opulent surroundings of Fratton Park’s Victory Suite. The Association President, Martin Eggleton of Priory BC, gave a very interesting speech,outlining the events of the past 100 years, during which the Association has survived worl war, various national crises and a major pandemic, and expressed the hope that the centenary celebrations would prove the springboard for another successful 100 years!
The awards presentation, which preceded dinner and dancing to live music, saw LOTSBC members receiving a number of awards:
Martin Ellis and Kim Francis-Ellis the Mixed Pairs Winners,
Martin, Kim, Chris Doig and Steve Wiggins the Mixed Fours Winners,
Josh Thompson the Under 25’s Singles Winner,
The Midweek Triples Black team the West Division 1 runners up, collected by Les Davis,
Our 2-rink team runners up in the inaugural Centenary Cup, collected by Martin and Josh.
