Planning application for intensive broiler raising facility in the Parish

Chollerton Parish Council has been invited by Northumberland County Council (NCC) to comment on a planning application at Well House Farm, Colwell for an intensive broiler facility housing 220,000 hens and supplying 1,700,000 broiler hens per year.

25/03717/FULES | Erection of poultry unit comprising 4 No. poultry houses and associated infrastructure.

Considering the number of neighbour comments already made to the application, the Parish Council has asked our County Councillor, Cllr Antonia Azocar-Nevin, to call the application in for a full Planning Committee review, so that the application is considered in full by our elected Councillors, rather than having a decision made by Officers.

If you wish to make a comment against the application, in support or against, then the deadline for submissions is 11th November.
