Following a less than complimentary safety inspection of the Play Area adjacent to the Village Hall, the Parish Council has been actively working on refurbishing the facility, to include replacement of some of the play equipment

The Council has successfully applied to the Big Lottery Fund for funding assistance for the project, and has been awarded a grant of £4,000, which sum has to be match-funded from Council funds. The only way this can be done is through an increase in the annual Precept it receives from Rutland County Council. Council tax payers will therefore notice a small increase this year in order to cover this.
