PRESIDENT VS VICE PRESIDENT

Numbers were down this year for the game between the President and Vice-President but President Mary and Vice President Jim were still delighted to welcome 38 bowlers and a further 9 non players to this annual challenge, The afternoon was cool and windy and started with a Spider that raised £42.40 for St Michaels Hospice and was won by Vera Rhodes. Because of the poor conditions a full game was not played but by the time players decided to retire to the bar President Mary's team was far enough ahead that she was able to claim victory.

Back in the clubhouse those present were treated to an excellent meal prepared by Rob and Tracey Voller and afterwards a vote of thanks was proposed by David Bowers, a member who joined earlier in the season.
