Sevenoaks District Council’s refuse collection teams will be working extra days over the festive period so residents don’t miss out on a waste collection.
This year, all collections will take place on their usual day, even if it’s a bank holiday. This includes garden waste collections too.
Cabinet member for Cleaner and Greener, Cllr Margot McArthur says: “We are very proud to be one of the only local authorities in the UK to supply a weekly refuse collection and Christmas should be no different.
“Our refuse teams will be working very hard so that this year, there will be no changes to your collections days, even if your usual day falls on a bank holiday.
“Please put your black and clear sacks out at 7am and your garden waste out at 6.30am on your collection day.”
