In Bloom winners crowned

In Bloom was bigger than ever this year and Sevenoaks District Council and Coolings Garden Centre had a tough time choosing the winners.

There were eleven categories ranging from front gardens, back gardens, allotments, pollinators and more.

Almost eighty residents and businesses entered the competition and last week, the winners were presented with their awards at a ceremony in Bat and Ball Community Centre.

Sevenoaks District Council Chairman and In Bloom judge, Cllr Diana Esler, says: “We had such a good time visiting all the beautiful gardens across the District and we’d like to thank all entrants. There were some fine examples of eco-friendly gardens and gardens that brightened up the District.

“The standard this year was particularly high, making the judging especially challenging. With that in mind, I would like to congratulate not just the winners, but everyone else who took part too.”
