Proposed winding up of the RAFCC

This is the formal notice to wind up the Roach Area Fairways Conservation Committee.

The formation of this committee was on the 5th February 1974 and was given a place on the CHA Advisory Committee later that year after the CHA was formally formed by an act of Parliament.

We have represented the River Roach users for over 50 years, since then the original issues, the development of Maplin Airport, have dropped by, and very few issues now are raised.

Support both financially and physically has not been there for many years and its noted that other organisations have stepped in to cover most of the issues we had and are possibly having.

Thus we officially give notice via the RAFCC web site that unless there is a swell of opposition to closing and funding is given, we will cease operations from March 30th 2024.
