PUBLIC CONSULTATION - POTENTIAL PURCHASE OF LAND
Lenham Parish Council is considering purchasing rural land of 4.51 acres at Boughton Road, Leading Cross Green, please see the map below.
The land is due to be offered for sale by online auction on 14th October 2026. The auction timetable means that the Council has a limited period in which to obtain the necessary information and seek the views of residents before determining whether, and at what level, it may be prepared to bid. The auction guide price is £50,000 to £100,000. We would like to hear the views of local residents before making a decision.
If the Parish Council is successful with the bid, the purchase will be paid for from the Council’s reserves. Ongoing maintenance costs would be included in the Parish Council’s budget and precept.
