Purton ladies are new British Champions !
Many congratulations to Chris, Alison and Julie who represented England in the Ladies' Triples at the recent British Championsips held in Belfast - and who came home as the British Champions..
In doing so they enjoyed victories over both Scotland and Wales.
In their semi-final encounter with Scotland’s Maralyn Mutron, Maureen Hyslop, Elizabeth Reid, the English trio won all 10 of the opening and closing five ends to secure a 18-9 victory. This was backed up with another strong finish in the final against Wales’ Bethan Russ, Hannah Hunt and Carla Davies, where they secured all of the final six ends to win 24-13.
