Radio Shropshire Make a difference awards 2024

I’m getting in touch to ask whether you would be willing to support our 2024 BBC Radio Shropshire Make A Difference Awards by spreading the word about how to nominate, or by nominating someone you know who has made a contribution to their community in some way.

The deadline for nominations is Sunday 10 March 2024. It’s very simple and quick to fill in the form and say why you are nominating this person or group of people. All the details you need are here https://www.bbc.co.uk/makeadifference

The categories are Volunteer, Community Group, Fundraiser, Great Neighbour, Carer, Bravery, Green Award and The Animal Award.

At BBC Radio Shropshire we love to celebrate positive stories and the wonderful things that people do to make their community a better place to live. The world can feel like a pretty tricky place at the moment and anything we can all do to focus on positivity is surely a good thing. Last year’s winners and nominees tell us they were thrilled to have been recognised.

Last year we had a good spread of nominations from all over Shropshire. We’re keen to celebrate every corner of the county once again so please do nominate to make sure your area is represented.
