Rail strike action over Christmas and in early January
There is extensive strike action by the RMT, UNITE the Union, TSSA and ASLEF affecting EMR services in December and January including over the holiday period.
If you are planning to travel during this time it is important to check your journey as we will be operating a significantly reduced service on strike days. Only travel by rail if absolutely necessary and if you do travel, expect severe disruption. We also advise you to check the day after strike action as there will be a later start up.
On strike days EMR services will run between the hours of 0730 – 1830 only. Services will start later and finish earlier than usual with the last departures starting between 1500 and 1630. Please ensure you check the time of the first and last return train before you travel.
On the 24 December we will be running an extremely limited service between Corby and London St Pancras only. There will be no services on the rest of the EMR network. Do not travel.
Services will not operate on Christmas Day and Boxing Day as normal.
On the 5 January EMR will not operate any services due to strike action from ASLEF.
Strike action will affect other routes across the country with very limited services running on the rail network. Please ensure you check your full journey before traveling.
The attached images show the expected levels of services that will run during this time. Please continue to check the EMR website, information in stations and social media for the latest advice and information.
