There’s still time to nominate your unsung heroes for the ‘Making it Happen Community and Voluntary Awards’.

Sevenoaks District Council is hosting the awards ceremony next year and is looking for nominations of residents and organisations who go the extra mile for others.

There are eleven categories up for grabs including Local Hero, Older Persons Group of the Year, Contribution to the Environment and many more.

Cabinet member for People and Places, Cllr Lesley Dyball says, “This is such a good opportunity to celebrate the amazing people in the District who put others before themselves.

“Each year we see a variety of different people and groups honoured for the work they do and this year will be no different.

“If you know someone who goes above and beyond, make sure you nominate them before the deadline.”

To nominate a person or group, visit www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/voluntaryawards before 4pm on Friday 30 December.
