Treecycle your real Christmas tree

Now Christmas is over don't forget that you can recycle your real Christmas tree.

  • Remove all your lights and decorations
  • Place by the side of your green bin if under 5 foot
  • If your tree is over 5 feet tall please cut into sections and put in your green bin

Check when your next garden waste collection is by clicking the link below

Check My Bin Day

Veolia (our waste collection and disposal contractor) will be making a donation to West Shropshire Talking Newspaper from Christmas trees recycled this year.

Last year Veolia donated £5,000 to the West Midlands Air Ambulance. Thank you to residents across Shropshire who recycled their real Christmas tree.

But I have an artificial tree!

If you have an artificial tree, box it up and save it for next year. If it has seen better days and you would like to get rid of it you can dispose of it at your nearest recycling centre. Click the link below to find your nearest one.
