Your diligent web editor has been waiting for the Cotswold League results and table to be updated, but as this has not been done, so here are the results for the week.

On Monday, the Ladies had their first league game and won 71-20, yes, 71-20, taking all 8 points. Marlene's triple won 51-5 and Paola's triple won 20-15.

On Tuesday, the Men beat Fairford 'B' by 7 points to 3 which should keep Malmesbury on top of the table. Tim's rink won 20-10 and Ruby's rink lost by 4 shots. Roy's rink were 4 up on the last end and holding 3 but the opposition skip came in with a fortunate shot and managed to take 4, so they drew. Thank you to Pete and Anna for providing the rolls and for Margaret operating the bar.

The Top Club was played on Wednesday against Chippenham Park. Malmesbury won overall. Roy's triple and Ruby's rink had relatively easy wins. Tim pulled a 3 out of the hat on the last end to draw his pairs' game. Mal was pegged back to 20-20 but managed to win his four-wood single on the "last" end. Paul was outplayed in the two-woods single. Thank you to Derek and Steve for marking. The club progresses to the next round to play Chippenham Town away.

A full week was finished off with the Tea&Biscuits away win at North Wilts. The team won 10-4 on points. The scores on the doors were:

  • Arthur lost 12-13
  • Albert lost 12-21
  • Peter won 24-14
  • Mal won 19-13

The next Mens' home game is against Nailsworth Mills on Tuesday 15 June at 18:30.

Also on Saturday 12 June, we have the Triples Tournament starting at 13:00 organised by Pete Young.
