NOTICE OF TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE

S14 (2) ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers issues this notice temporarily to prohibit traffic in the following length of road:-

Congleton Lane, Chelford Ward, Knutsford, SK11 9 from the junction with Holmes Chapel Road to the junction with Mill Lane.

The alternative route will be via the following streets: - Congleton Lane, Chelford Road, Salters Lane, Congleton Road, Holmes Chapel Road

Pedestrian access to any premises situated within the temporary closure will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and residents where possible.

The closure is necessary to enable Cheshire East Highways to carry out drainage investigation.

It is anticipated that the works will take place on the following date(s): Monday 14th June 2021 to Wednesday 16th June 2021.

This notice will become operative on Monday 14th June 2021 for a period of 21 days or for such less time as is necessary to enable the works to be completed, and may be extended by a further 21 days if necessary.
