PUBLIC NOTICE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL ROMDEN ROAD, SMARDEN, ASHFORD

(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2020

To allow works to be carried out to provide a new electricity supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Romden Road, Smarden, in the Ashford area.

A closure is planned from Tuesday 29 January 2020, with estimated completion by 31 January 2020.

Romden Road will be closed between the junctions with Pluckley Road and Dorking Lane.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Pluckley Road and Dorking Lane.

Local access to the remainder of Romden Road continues from a western direction up to where the road is actually closed.

Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to re-open the road outside the working hours.

There is a chance that the planned dates may change, and updated information can be found on one.network – [UK Power Networks Permit KZ50020232785], with any changes signposted on site and notified locally.
