Better late than never -

Kent County Council gives notice that Headcorn Road, Smarden will be closed to through traffic, on or after 17th September 2020 for up to 1 night. The road will be closed at the railway bridge. The alternative route is via Bell Lane, Biddenden Road and Smarden Road.It is planned that the road will be closed between 22.00 hrs and 06.00 hrs. This closure is necessary to carry out a safety examination of the bridge, to be carried out by Amey.This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 5 days.
