Road Closure Advanced Notice
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC CATWICK LANE, LONG RISTON (PART)
Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Catwick Lane, Long Riston (FROM the junction of Whins Lane, Long Riston TO outside ‘Caprice’) commencing 3 April 2023 to allow BT telegraph poling works to be carried out by USL Group Ltd on behalf of Openreach.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 5 April 2023.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Catwick Lane, Long Riston
Riston Road, Rowpit Lane and Main Street, Catwick
West Road, Rise Road and Whins Lane, Long Riston.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for residents, the emergency services and pedestrians.
