Gas Network Upgrade – B2086 Benenden Road (Rolvenden Road), Benenden

Road Closure from Monday 17 November – Duration Four Weeks

We’re preparing to carry out essential gas network upgrades along B2086 Benenden Road. This work will ensure a continued safe and reliable supply of gas is delivered to nearby homes and businesses.

We'll be replacing a section of old metal pipework, reaching the end of its useful life, with new, reliable plastic pipe.

Our contractor, Forefront Utilities Ltd, who are completing this project on our behalf, will be starting work on Monday 17 November.

For everyone’s safety we’ll need to close B2086 Benenden Road between the junctions of Ramsden Lane and Pullington Cottages for the duration of our work.

Signed diversions will be in place for affected motorists where roads are closed. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses within the works area. Pedestrian access will not be affected. Cyclists will need to dismount and walk through the closure point.

Bus routes will be affected. Passengers should contact the local service provider for changes to routes and bus stop locations.

We understand roadworks can be frustrating and we’re sorry for any inconvenience caused. However, the new plastic pipe has a lifespan of 80 years. This means that once our work is done, Benenden residents and businesses will be able to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable supply of gas for many years to come.
