From Daniel Wilmer, Schemes Engineer, KCC

“Having looked at the location for your request I can confirm that this falls within part of the carriageway in which we plan to undertake further works within the near future. As you have alluded to in your enquiry a number of accidents have occurred in this location, as such it has been identified as a higher risk area by ourselves through our database and funding has been agreed to potentially reduce the number of accidents occurring at this location through the implementation of highway improvement measures. The area we are currently looking at runs from just before Kite Farm to the junction of Greenhill Lane, we are planning to install further signage, verge marker posts, road lining and road studs to highlight the limits of the carriageway and help drivers navigate the bends along this section of carriageway. I cannot confirm an exact date at the moment as we are currently in the process of finalising our design before our contractor can then undertake these works.” www.kent.gov.uk/highways
