I am writing on behalf of RoadPeace, the national charity for road victims, and the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) to share the news that on 16 November, the World Day of Remembrance for Road Victims, a service of remembrance will take place at 2:30pm at All Saints Church in Pittville.

The service is open to all faiths and those of no faith. It will remember lives lost and those seriously injured, and honour families whose lives have been changed forever.

The service will also pay tribute to our emergency services. The service will be officiated by Revd David Lawrence-March fatherdlm@icloud.com

It is sobering to reflect that in Gloucestershire in 2024 there were 1,367 road casualties including 22 fatalities.

Unaudited figures suggest we have already had 22 fatalities this year with still two treacherous months to go.

Senior members of RoadPeace, GRSP and the emergency services will be in attendance.
