With lock-down measures ongoing, Sevenoaks District residents are being urged to keep following Government guidelines and stay at home this weekend.

Cabinet member for People and Places, Cllr Lesley Dyball says “The vast majority of our residents are doing an amazing job of staying at home, but for it to work, we all need to continue to follow the rules. Please do not visit your family and friends this weekend, avoid unnecessary travel and only go out for essential groceries and to exercise once a day.”

Cllr Dyball adds “It is also vitally important you do not invite people over to your home, even if they are two metres away. The rules are strict, but they are there for a reason. Social distancing is working and if we all obey the guidelines, we can go back to normal sooner.”

Sevenoaks District Council’s One You team have put together lots of resources to help residents through this difficult period. They include how to stay healthy at home, looking after mental wellbeing and activities for children. Visit www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/stayinghealthy to find out more.
