SEAN DIPS OUT IN CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS

This morning our 2021 Men's Champion, Sean Lassman, travelled to Old Basing to take on Alton Social's Adam White in the Final of the Basingstoke and District Champion of Champions event. Neither player established an advantage in the early stages with the scores tied at 3-3 and 5-5 but things looked ominous for Sean as Adam scored threes in 2 of the next 3 ends to establish a 12-5 lead. By now Adam had found good length and line and although Sean managed two singles he soon found himself 7-20 adrift. A three to Sean, on what was to be the penultimate end, gave respectability to the score but eventually Adam ran out a deserved 21-10 winner.
