From Monday 13 September, residents can speak with Sevenoaks District Council by telephone from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday during a trial to make it easier to access services.

The Council’s contact centre is now open for longer to answer most queries or take payments over the phone.

Leader of Sevenoaks District Council, Cllr Peter Fleming, says: “Working patterns have changed dramatically over the last two years so we want to make sure our customers can get hold of us at a time that is most convenient to them. We also know that not all our residents are able to access the range of services we have available online. We want to make sure these people have greater opportunity to contact us.”

“By extending the opening times of our contact centre, we can answer the majority of our customer’s questions and take most payments.

“We are doing this on a trial basis to begin with to see how popular the service is with residents and businesses.”

To speak to with the Council, call 01732 227000.

Alternatively, residents can access Council services 24/7 online at www.sevenoaks.gov.uk
