Short Mat Competition Presentation

Our short mat bowling has ended for another season so it’s time for presentations. First the Charles Vine Trophy, the season long competition. Once again, the awards were presented by Charles Vine’s daughter, Christine. Third was Peter Tansey, runner-up, an excellent performance from newcomer Paul Knowles but the winner was John Pearce. It is a thoroughly deserved award as it is John who organises and runs the short mat season for the club. Congratulations to all the prize winners. The Andrew Bishop Trophy for the knock-out competition has been held over to be completed next season due to decorating work on the clubhouse.
