Thursday 13 September saw the 10th Anniversary of singing sessions in Hartley Wintney managed by the Alzheimer's Society and more recently shared by us. 40 attended and it was good to welcome back carers whose loved ones have passed away, as well as current attendees and volunteers who run the weekly get togethers plus members of the three local choirs who come along each week to assist. And, of course, an enormous thank you to Barbara Rayner who has been facilitating these sessions since the very start.
For those of you who may not have been before, refreshments are served at 1.30 pm and the singing is 2.00 - 3.00 pm every Thursday, generally at the Hartley Wintney Football Club, Green Lane, Hartley Wintney, who provide their premises free of charge. On those occasions when there is another event at the Football Club, we generally decamp to the WI Hut, also in Green Lane.
Thanks to Paul Wallace Stock for the photograph.
