Several break-ins have been reported: - A quantity of diesel and tools were stolen from a property just outside Smarden on the Headcorn Road.

Equipment was stolen from Smarden Business Estate. A fence and container locks were damaged.

A fence was broken and entry was gained into the side door of a garage in Cage Lane. A property in Bethersden Road had a chainsaw taken from a shed on the same night and a property in Water Lane had equipment taken from a shed. Plus, another incident in Water Lane, the water works were entered causing damage to the property but nothing was stolen. Suspicious activity has been reported at the Charter Hall, if you witness anything, please report it to the Police. Smarden Parish Council and the Charter Hall are looking into it.

Another 37 people were arrested in September as part of Kent Police’s ongoing crackdown on county lines drugs supply.

Luckily, we live in an area where crime is low. Please report any incidents, firstly to the Police and Neighbourhood Watch would like to be kept up to date.
