Snooker Table

As promised, we put the decision regarding the change of use of the snooker room and the disposal of the snooker table to the village. Two open evenings were held on 22 and 23 June and we received a total of 33 voting slips. That equates to about 12% of the households in the village. The result was 24 in favour of the table going and 9 to retain it. The count was carried out by representatives of the Parish Council and the Community Group and witnessed by eight others.
We now have the job of finding a suitable home for the table and hope we can do this locally. If anyone has any suggestions, please let us know. We certainly do not want to see it broken up.
I would like to thank all those of you who have shown an interest in the proposed changes at the Reading Rooms and as a committee we hope we can continue to make the Reading Rooms a useful community facility.

The rooms belong to the village and we need you to use them. They are ideal for children's parties, currently at a flat charge of £10.
Over the summer you may see requests for volunteers to help with maintenance and decorating at the rooms, so please come along and share your skills.
Thank you.
