Pineholt Bowls Club were the recent recipients of a substantial grant from Enovert Community Trust to install solar panels on the clubhouse roof. The work was completed by local installers Redbridge.

Pineholt's Club Chairman, Dave McCarthy said ' We are very grateful for the support of Enovert Community Trust in making this grant. The addition of solar panels with a battery will greatly enhance our ability to save money on our energy bills with the addition of helping us achieve our green footprint.'

Angela Haymonds, Trust Manager of Enovert Community Trust, said: “Pineholt Bowls Club is an extremely valuable community resource, used by members and many other local groups, so the Trustees were very pleased to provide the club with a grant of £12,500 towards its project. The installation of the solar panels and batteries will reduce energy costs and future-proof the club to enable it to continue its valuable community function for future generations.
