TSPC have installed Chafer bug traps on Sorby Field to help prevent the spread of the bugs throughout the Parish. This is the only control measure available at this time of year and at this point in the lifecycle of the bug. Further treatments maybe available later in the year, although initial indications of cost may be prohibitive. Reseeding the areas of the field currently affected by the Chafer bugs will also be considered later in the year. Please do not disturb the traps.
