Southport bowlers reach County Finals

Congratulations to Steve Goulding and Joan Higham on reaching the final of the Gentlemen's and Ladies' County 2-wood Singles competitions respectively. Both Steve and Joan had to battle through 3 qualifying rounds on Sunday at Manchester and came through with flying colours - Steve's closest match being a last end decider against fellow Southport bowler Steve Hughes. Both finals will be on County Final's Day on Saturday 30th July in Bolton. I'm sure they would be pleased to see some of us there to cheer them on.

In total 11 Southport men and 4 Southport ladies represented the club in Manchester - a great turn out from us. There were several good performances from the members that can only stand the club in good stead for the future.
