Burniston Parish Council wish to Newby and Scalby Community Hall retained as a Community Asset for the use of residents. Councillors at Burniston Parish Council understand that the future of the Community Hall lies in the hands of the Charity Commission as it is held in trust. Both Members and the community they represent believe that every effort must be made to find a suitable path to continue with Community Hall being held in Trust and carry on being the highly valued public asset that it is.
