Damage and Theft from Information boards

The Studying History and Archaeology in Lympne (SHAL) group have reported the theft of the information maps from the Plinth that was install along the Saxon Shore Way overlooking the Romney Marsh. The plinth depicted the Roman roads inthe area-

Fiona Jarvest of the group said,

"Sadly, someone has chosen to remove the plan of the Roman roads in Kent and the explanatory plate from the plinth on top of the escarpment overlooking Stutfall. This was the culmination of a 3 year project by SHAL involving a large group of people from the village, and why anyone would want to take them is difficult to understand. If anyone has walked along the escarpment over the last few days and noticed whether the plan was in place or had gone, could you email me please so that we can work out a rough time it happened. fionajarvest@btinternet.com. Thank you."

Pictures of the stolen items are shown with this article.
