Tonight was a fitting way for the Fire to end the season with a superb performance in winning the Cup. All of the boys were on point, playing their part in contributing to a well played game of football. Josh Mc was chosen as the last wearer of the infamous yellow Fire helmet. His ball control was excellent, beating players in tight spaces, finding teammates to move the ball to and winning tackles all over the pitch. His quickness and tenacity were reminiscent of a hungry cheetah hunting for its next meal. Fred chipped in with two brilliant goals, Jack's 3 assists showed his outstanding playmaking qualities. Danny J and Jay were lethal scoring 5 and 3 goals respectively. In midfield, Isaac, Josh B, and Josh C were, at times, in dominating form. Defensively the boys were smart, confident and not frightened to move the ball amongst themselves. Well done to our backline, Charlie, Harrie, Harvey and Ryan for another strong game. Berri was reliably solid and I will say again that he is the best shot stopper in the League. Berri took a penalty late in the game which was saved brilliantly but he had to race back to his goal. I didn't realise he had that sort of speed. There were a few Forrest Gump comments as Berri sprinted back to his goal. I have to admit that this was one of the funniest things I have seen on the pitch in a while.

Thank you for another great memory boys. Keep working hard and keep smiling!

The mighty Fire!!!
