Swaffham Skatepark no longer a dream.....

Swaffham Town Council, collaborating with SK8 Mob, park users and interested residents have been fundraising for a good many years for a new modern Skatepark and Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) for the Recreation Ground at Haspalls Road.

Successful grant bid applications throughout 2016 have helped raise the fund to an amazing £150,000.

Tenders were considered during an open Planning meeting, held at the Community Centre involving local youth groups and it was unanimously agreed to award the tender for the Skatepark to Wheelscape and the MUGA to HAGS.

Work is due to begin early spring with a grand opening day planned for May, something for the whole town to enjoy.

This is a fantastic achievement for the town and a great example of bringing people together for a common cause.
