First South Yorkshire strike - Saturday 27 July and Saturday 3 August 2019
As you may be aware, First South Yorkshire bus services in Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield may be affected by industrial action on Saturday 27 July and Saturday 3 August 2019.
As the strike is expected to cause disruption to First services in South Yorkshire, we are encouraging colleagues and customers, who travel by bus, to plan their journey in advance.
Why is the strike happening?
Unite union announced its members would walk out for 24 hours on 27 July and 3 August in a dispute over pay.
Disruption to bus services
Further talks between First South Yorkshire and Unite are currently taking place. However, if strike action does go ahead, First will aim to ensure that it has minimal impact to their bus services.
First has committed to keeping customers informed and will share information on the services that are planned to operate as soon as details are available.
