Please join us at All Saints Church Hall on Tuesday 3rd May 7.30 pm
for a talk by Dr Mary South on Strawberry Fields Forever
Strawberries have played an important part in the history of Hampshire horticulture and the area around the Hamble Valley became known as the ‘Strawberry Coast’.
Dr Mary South will explain how the favourable climate along with development of the railways led to a boom in strawberry growing in the 19th century.
