Talk on Tuesday 2nd May, Rewilding the Knepp Estate
Please join us at All Saints Church Hall at 7.30 pm Tues 2nd May when Matt Phelps will give a talk on
"Rewilding the Knepp Estate"
Farming of the 3500 acres ceased in 2001, grazing animals were introduced and the natural water courses restored.
The project has seen an increase of rare species in the area, including nightingales, peregrine falcons, turtle doves and purple emperor butterflies.
Matthew will also tell us about the more recent rewilding of the walled garden as an experiment to find plants that will cope with climate change.
New members and visitors always welcome
Visitors welcome £2.00 Refreshments & raffle
