Nature Nurture

a talk by Maggie Haynes of Tuppenny Barn

Tuppenny Barn in Southbourne is an organic garden run as a charity which aims to promote sustainable living through its education programme.

School visits include the opportunity to pick and cook food from the garden and produce is sold in the shop to raise funds.

There is also a continuing programme of courses, workshops, and activities for adults.

A new project to support vulnerable individuals aims to develop a Social Horticulture Therapy facility.

Fundraising is underway to provide a new Shop and Community Café which will create more jobs and increase the number of school visits and work experience opportunities.

Join us to hear more from Maggie, the founder of this amazing place.
