TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT NOTICE

B3157, ABBOTSBURY

Dorset Council has issued a Notice under Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Notice is required to comply with health and safety regulations which mandate the provision of safe working areas and minimise the risk of danger to highway users.

The Notice will come into operation on 13 April 2026, between 09:00 and 16:00, and will remain in force for five days. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14 April 2026.

This Notice enables Dorset Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.

Effects of the Notice

1. Temporary Road Closure
   Closure of the B3157, Abbotsbury, between its junction with Ashley Chase and a point approximately 675 metres northwest.

2. Parking Suspension
   Suspension of parking, as indicated by on-site signage, to prevent parking along the same section of the B3157, Abbotsbury.

3. Clearway Restriction
   A clearway will be imposed—again, as indicated by signage—to prevent waiting along the affected stretch of road.

Diversion Route

A locally signed diversion will be in place to allow traffic to travel around the closed section.
